Version 1.1
This release brings Snug Transcribe to Windows, lets your phone and computer work together so a recording transcribes on whichever device is faster, and adds export to your choice of text, PDF or audio.
Snug Transcribe comes to your Windows PC
The app now runs on Windows, with a layout built for a bigger screen and a mouse. It lives quietly in the tray, can start with Windows, and works the same way the phone does. Everything still happens on the device, with no account and no cloud.
Let your computer do the heavy lifting
Link your phone and your PC once by scanning a code. When both are on the same network, your phone can hand transcription to the computer, which gets through it faster and saves your phone battery.
You can even move a recording that is already going over to the computer, and watch the words appear on both screens at once. The audio only ever travels between your own devices, on your own network. Nothing leaves them.
Export as text, a PDF or the audio
When you export a transcript, pick plain text, a PDF, the audio file, or several at once, and you get them together in a single zip. PDFs come out looking right in any language.
Fixes and improvements
- The live transcript now stays pinned to the newest line while transcription races ahead.
- Settings open the same way from every screen.
- On phones, the app no longer nudges you toward the Large model where the fast one fits better.
- Importing can remember whether you like to move or copy a file, so it stops asking.
- The free hour each week only ever pauses transcription, never the recording itself.
- Plus visual and stability improvements throughout the app.
