Version 1.5
On Windows, your voice and your computer's sound are now balanced in a recording, so a quiet microphone no longer gets lost under a loud call. This release also lets a laptop hand its transcriptions to a faster computer, and moves your linked devices into Settings.
Your voice and your computer's sound, balanced
On Windows, when you record your microphone together with the sound from your computer, the app now keeps your voice at the same level as the other side. A quiet microphone no longer gets lost under a loud call. Recordings with only the microphone sound the same as before.
A faster computer does the work
A laptop can now turn on "Transcribe on a faster computer" and hand its recordings to a faster PC on your network. Live recordings only move when that PC is measured faster than the laptop.
A newly linked PC now gets work straight away. Its first real transcription measures its speed. Settings tells you when a device's speed is not measured yet.
Fixes and improvements
- Linked devices now show as cards in Settings, where you can unlink each one on its own.
- When you reinstall the app and link it again, your other devices forget the old copy.
- Devices you linked to the same computer now know about each other too.
- When you close the window on Windows, the app asks whether to keep running in the tray or fully quit. Tick "Remember my choice", or change it later in Settings.
- Settings has a "Send feedback" button that opens our feedback page.
- A renamed recording now shows its new title in your library straight away.
- A fresh install no longer asks for network access until you link a device.
- Plus visual and stability improvements throughout the app.
