Snug Transcribe is here. Recording and transcription happen entirely on your phone, so nothing you record ever leaves it.
There is no account and no cloud. This first release also brings recording that keeps going with the screen off, importing for audio you already have, a searchable library, and around 100 languages.
Everything happens on your phone
The speech recognition runs on the device itself. Your recordings and your transcripts never leave it. There is no account to create and no card to enter.
After a one time download of the speech model, Snug Transcribe works with no connection at all. Open it on a plane and it behaves exactly as it always does.
If you would rather not keep the audio, a setting deletes each recording once its transcript is finished. The words stay in your library. The audio stops existing.
Record anything, even with the screen off
Start recording and put the phone back in your pocket. Recording carries on while you use other apps or the screen sleeps. A notification lets you pause or stop it without opening the app.
